— a FOCUS missionary serving on the front lines of campus evangelization, made possible in large part by the faithful support of St. John's Knights of Columbus Council 1425.
This past year, Thomas:
📖 Led over 650 students in Bible study — the most in school history — providing Bibles, meals, and a welcoming environment at every single session.
👥 Walked alongside approximately 20 men in one-on-one small group discipleship, equipping them with spiritual reading and formation resources.
🎉 Hosted numerous student events and parties to help students feel at home in the University Catholic Center community.
✝️ Witnessed over 30 students complete their Sacraments of Initiation — many of them directly connected to his Bible studies and discipleship walks.
🏔️ Sent over 140 students to SEEK Conference, with full scholarships provided to many who couldn't otherwise attend.
☕ And through it all — buying meals, coffee, and simply showing up — Thomas quietly loved his students in the most ordinary, Christ-like ways.
None of this happens by accident. FOCUS — the Fellowship of Catholic University Students — invites college students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church, inspiring and equipping them for a lifetime of Christ-centered evangelization, discipleship, and friendships. And FOCUS missionaries like Thomas are typically recent college graduates who devote two or more years of their post-collegiate lives to reach out to peers on campus — fundraising 100% of their salaries and ministry efforts through the generosity of donors.
That's where the Knights of Columbus come in. From growing in faith to helping those most in need, Knights of Columbus put their faith into action, living out their mission and making a real difference. Council 1425 has done exactly that — and the fruit is undeniable.
Thomas puts it simply: Everything listed is only possible with the generosity of donors like St. John's Knights of Columbus. None of it could have been possible without y'all's generosity — so thank you.
To the men of St. John's K of C Council 1425: your faithfulness is changing eternal destinies. Every Bible provided, every meal served, every conference attended, every soul received into the Church — you are part of that story.
"None of us is as good as all of us." — That's the spirit of the Knights: together, we can accomplish far more than any of us could individually.
